Virginia’s rising Latin American Orchestra

• Assembled by Robin Lugo in June of 2002.
• Consists of 11 band members that will keep your feet moving all night long with full Latin percussion such as
  • Timbales
  • Congas
  • Bongos
  • Two trumpets
  • One trombone
  • One alto saxophone
  • Piano
  • Bass guitar
  • One female and one male vocalist

  Their  repertoire includes many Latin rhythms, such as:

  • Salsa
  • Merengue
  • Guaguancó
  • Son Montuno
  • Jazz
  • Bomba
  • Plena
  • and many more
  • They also have numerous Salsa and Merengue songs with English lyrics.

Since its inception, Tumbao Salsero has entertained thousands of fans throughout the state of Virginia.

They have performed at numerous clubs such as Tropicana Restaurant & Lounge, Station 2, Knickerbockers Night Club, Amadeus Café, Granby Theater (primiere), Señor Fox, Club Reign & The Cotton Club (Richmond, Va), Langley Airforce Base (Hispanic Heritage Month 2005). Live performances on the 17th , 22nd , 24th , & 31st street stages in Virginia Beach, Latinfest, Harborfest, Ocean View Festival in Norfolk; as well as private parties, weddings, and birthdays.

Opened up venues for groups such as Los Hermanos Moreno, Son Café, and Jimmy Bosch, and a concert in Richmond for Congress.
